借口有时候很美丽

昨天一个朋友说了这一句话

"要约会也要先找话题或借口阿！不然怎么开始"

忽然感觉到 － 原来借口可以很美丽的。

因为一个借口 － 可以约喜欢的人去喝咖啡。

因为一个借口 － 可以和喜欢的人多见面。

因为一个借口 － 开始了一个很美丽的关系。

因为一个借口 － 让这个关系有更多发展的空间。

因为一个借口 － 让生命多了许多色彩。

当然 － 这些是美丽的借口。

我也用了一个借口－约了一些好朋友聚集在一起。

我知道我可以很直接的说：我要走了，希望和你们多花时间在一起...

但是，我却用选择了用美丽的借口来和大家聚集。

在美里的时间不是很长，但是 － 忽然有一点舍不得的感觉。和以往很不一样。

可能这一断时间 － 除了家人以外， 我有用心的去观察朋友，有用心的去关怀他们，有用心的去参与，也有用心的去付出。

可能因为这些用心，让我感到舍不得。

这一个借口 － 给了我美丽的一天.

再过几天要回去打仗了

The day! (Valentine's day too!)

After an hour of practicing face painting - finally the day arrived! (It's just next day!) We reached the Boat Club at 2 and did some simple setup. Jungleboi was preparing his "playground" of huge Zorb ball but i didn't take any photos of that :p

The carnival started with interesting parade :) I am very touched to see their involvement in this parade :) Adults, Kids... Wow! These are some quick photos :)

Aha, my friends played the roll as clowns that day! Interesting! They are really gifted in this area. I enjoyed their play too. Thanks Ruidi for these photos :) One of them is Mrs Ruidi :) Cute :D

Well, I thank God for most of the kids wanted Tiger and Butterfly. Haha! God, this is amazing! :P I learnt just tiger during my practice the day before :p Well, even a boy who requested for rabbit turned out to be a Tiger after my ""kind suggestion" :p

Boy: I want to be a rabbit

Marlene: You are a cute, lovely, adorable and brave little boy and you wanted to be a rabbit?

He spent sometime put in a thought and then replied "How about a Tiger?"

Marlene: (in heart) Praise The Lord :p

Happy Valentine's Day

I ... had a very special V-day today. A tiring V-day but i quite enjoy the time i spent with TD :) 

Talked about V-day, out of sudden, i feel like sharing these very personal "proverbs" about relationship with all of my friends. Well, these "proverbs" has nothing to do with bible - and mainly personal experiences :)

1. Distance creates problems. Problems create distance. 距离产生问题，问题产生距离 (this is VERY PERSONAL ya! i failed in this last time :)

2. Body weight is not a pressure, Height is not a distance, Age is not a problem :) 体重不是压力，身高不是距离，年龄不是问题！

3. I know i scored 80%. I lack of 10% of inner beauty and 10% of appearance only :) 我知道我是十全八美，因为我少了外在美和内在美而已！

4. God is a matchmaker :) 上帝是媒人！

However, in God, nothing is impossible and His match-making is always the best :) A relationship that is based in Him will success :D

Team Work!

Yippee!

I was invited by Jungleboi and his team to serve in a function tomorrow - Shell Family Day. His team will be doing balloon folding, sand art and face painting. The problem is... there is no one who knows how to do face painting. However, I am willing to help - although i never have experience in drawing face. I didn't even know how to make up for myself :p hee hee.... The term and condition: He has to be my model - for me to practice face painting before tomorrow. Smart Jungleboi brought another kid over this afternoon. So, he became my guinea pig for my 1st pace painting :) Here comes the Not Too Cute + Fear Tiger :)

However, i am not happy with the result (because i didn't get to pain his face as promised!) And I tried again and I think i can see some improvement :p (I hope so) Ha! here comes my artwork - the master piece :) But i believe it looks better on kids' face :p

I have to make 3 boxes for money collections tomorrow and he came over to help. I think, these boxes are nice - and simple - and easily done :) It was joint using 6 mounting boards and a piece of Colour Card Stock. The size is 20cm x 20cm x 20cm. I added white scallop border and a mini stripe of American paper. Thanks Jungleboi in helping me to complete this on time! I think he is happy and amazed as well.

Hopefully tomorrow... we will have FUN FUN FUN! I am looking forward for this!

和朋友在msn上说完这一句话的时候，忽然很有感触。

很多时候，很想看到自己所期望的，

很希望一切都按照自己所策划的发生。

或者，

很多时候，认为很多事情是理所当然的。

这个以后就一定有那个！

那个以后就一定有这个！

但是往往结果都不是自己所预料的。

夜间大大的月亮，难道不比早晨的彩虹漂亮吗？

彩虹让早晨多了一些色彩，

但是月亮却让整个黑夜有亮光。

真美！

上帝，你的创造和安排真的很美。。。很美 ：）

Card making Workshop @ Chung Hua Miri :)

今天其实廷开心的。和Jungleboi 一起到一所中学去教一班聪明伶俐的学生们做情人节卡给妈妈。

说到Jungleboi, 虽然是我第3次见到他，但是可能我们都是主内一家人，所以不感觉到太陌生。如果妈妈知道我还没有认识他就答应他去教同学们作卡片，她一定会ngi-ngi-ngo-ngo: "Oling, 都几岁了，不要和陌生人说话！” ：）哈哈

因为买不到材料的关系，我只好改变自己的计划。用我仅有一张的Basic Grey paper, 切成了10 小张，然后设计出这卡片。本来以为简单就好，但是怕他们会觉得太简单，根本不用功夫，所以就想了一些比较复杂的卡片，也让他们experience PUNCHES 和STAMPS 的Syiok-感！

第一批来了7位同学。我只记得几个人的名字！下一次，一定会尽量记得全部！没办法，人老了，记性不是很好。我最记得凯顺，Johan, 双雄，什么镇，ah! help :p 当然boy boy 因为觉得自己当天不帅，所以不愿意一起拍照！怎样？他们的卡片不错吧！果然名师出高徒 :p just kidding :)

其实当时有一件事很感动我，就是凯顺问我: 你找到手表了吗？忽然间 － 真的有点感动。他记性真好，果然还年轻 :) 看，一句简单的问候，可能可以改变一个人一天的心情哦！

第2批，我就作比较简单的卡片。这个是几天前计划好的。

来的人只有2位 － 荣兴和Augustine. 会记得他们是因为这一班的人不是很多，所以有更多的机会慢慢接触。自然而然，就记住了。

Jungleboi 也自己动手做一张给他的妈妈！记得，你对同学们说过送妈妈的时候要拍照哦！所以自己不要忘记要有好榜样哦！

PART 2: (extended workshop)

oh! Never thought of we will have part 2 after the morning class :) The kids came to my house at night after the prayer meeting and made their 2nd card :) Of course for Girl friend la :) Now i remember Ah Kit :) He is so funny. It is very heart warming to see these kids putting effort and heart in making their card. "Gan dong" :)

开心：宝贝弟弟给了我一台iPhone :) (没有白疼他)
乌龙：把车钥匙留在一家餐厅 (为什么我那么大头虾?)
感恩：朋友帮忙把钥匙找到了 (谢谢大家! )

轻松：和中学朋友嬉哈的时间！
喜乐：又可以在教会侍奉神，而且修改了ppt 和 程序单

压力：明天packaging proposal deadline 了，但是我还没有做好 :(

Happy Birthday to Sharon!

I made a card and wrap the gift for Sharon yesterday night. Looks ok :p I quite happy with this.

YES! Another birthday celebration this month! It is Sharon's birthday!

I met Sharon when I was 7 (right?) We joint the same sunday school, same choir, same primary school (but she is younger than me) , we learnt the same musical instrument and we hang around often even when we were 16 or 18. She is very skinny tall and I love her like my own sister just the way she is :)

I am so happy that I could spent sometime with her today. I feel bad for not singing the birthday song loudly. I promise, I will do so tonight when i see her again after church choir.

We had lunch together @ a HALAL dim sum place. The taste of that Dim Sum is kind of.. weird but taste good! It makes me feel healthy when partake the food :p

I finally met Jungleboi (the blog friend) and he is a good friend of Sharon as well.

I was amazed when Ah Hui took out a card made by Sheerah from his bag. Wow, he carries the card everywhere! AMAZING! Congrats to the card - fall on the right person - a person who appreciate :)

Ok. Be back after church choir practice :)

OK. I am back :) I met a kid who read my blog sometimes and spent time with him and Sharon after church service! He was surprised to know it is Sharon's birthday so he sang her a birthday song :)

Card Making Class

A blog friend of mine invited me to give a small workshop on V-day card making next tuesday. Well, although I haven't met him in person yet but I know we are at the same direction - doing something for our God through serving His people :) So I started to plan on the cards :) Jungleboi said: cards for their mum and girl friend if possible.

Here comes my 1st idea - valentine's day bookmark. When putting 2 bookmarks together, it forms a picture. However, this is not the outcome that I am expecting. So... no no no.

How about cute card like this? Huh! This is more to young girl than a valentine's card to mummy.

V-day card for mummy... mummy... mummy.. i better explore more tonight....
