My 2010 Calendar (design 3)

I was so excited when i managed to receive the acrylic stands from Vivienne yesterday afternoon and i started to make these (3 in total) calendars at night. Too bad my printer was running out of ink - so i decided to use the date i printed few weeks ago to make this calendar :) The design and layout are totally different from what i 1st planned. However, i hope my friends will love it :) These are specially made for Shu Shu, Huijin and Pastor Dorcus - my paul :)

Happy Belated Birthday Rev Caleb!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, REV CALEB!

Sorry i missed your birthday :)

I spent a night, designing this calendar 2010, with a matching paperbag + a matching card - using my favourite paper of the year- Basic Grey :) I hope he will like it :)

This is how the calendar looks like.. with the paperbag
And the matching card :) Ah... my sewing machine is currently "sick"... so ... here comes the FAKE stitches :p

Indian Summer 2010 Calendar

There is a chinese says:
曾经沧海难为水 (ceng jing cang hai nan wei shui)
除却巫山不是云 (chu que wu shan bu shi yun)

it means, when you seen the best, the rest are nothing to you.

Well,.. I think i put less effort in this calendar compare to the one i did last 2 months. There is only 1 reason - making calendar is really tiring... so... i don't think i will make more this year... :( Some more - i am running out of the acrylic stand.... May be .. i will focus on CD calendar than....

However, this calendar is simpler: Using 6x6 Basic Grey paper - Indian Summer - as main background and play with White, Pink, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, More to Mustard as main colours. Although it is simple, but it took me few days to complete :( I am slow... i know...
Here comes my calendar.

Time to enjoy the Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Crafts now :)
Good night everyone :)

These calendars (total of 3) are specially made for Chiu Jing, Pao Pao and my sister - Mary :)

My CD Calendar 2010

I left very very few of the acrylic stands that i used for my 1st 2010 calendar. In order to have more calendars as Christmas gifts for my friends, I came out with this CD Calendar design. Miri is a small town and it is not possible for me to get the acrylic stands but at least it is not too hard to get this Old version of CD casing. This kind of casing is almost "extinct" in Miri though :) (I found it @ Parkson. Yay!)
This calendar involves printing and stamping ONLY. No stitches, no punches, no embossing at all :) Simple i would say :) I hope my friends will like it :) I am going to send out the 1st calendar by monday.

There is a chinese says: 曾经沧海难为水,除却巫山不是云. It means, when you have seen the best, the rest are nothing in your eyes. I think I compared my 1st calendar with this CD casing and I have to say, I still prefer my 1st calendar :) However, the time spent in making this calendar is only 10% compared to the time that i spent in my 1st calendar. Even the cost is different :) No wonder there is a big difference between them :) 一分钱一分货。
